The Physicians and staff would like to welcome you to our practice at San Antonio Digestive Disease Consultants, PA (SADDC). It is our goal to ensure your visit is as comfortable and professional as possible.
Your first appointment will be with one of our physicians to evaluate the reason for your visit and to review your medical history. For your convenience, we offer two locations at 1804 NE Loop 410 at Harry Wurzbach and the other at 12709 Toepperwein next to Northeast Methodist Hospital. Our clinic phone number is (210)828-8400.
Our telephones are manned by a live operator that will be happy to facilitate and coordinate your with the specified individual that can provide you with assistance. Our centralized appointment schedulers are also readily available to help you with any appointment needs you may have for the location and time that is convenient to you.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, we ask that you please call our office as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel. We ask that at least a 24-hour prior notice be given so we can make the time slot available for another patient. If you are unable to contact us during regular business hours, please call our office and our after-hours answering service will take the information. Please provide the necessary information (i.e., name, date of birth, appointment date and time and a call back phone number) so that our office staff can reach out to you on the next business day and take care of rescheduling your appointment.
If your primary care physician (PCP) refers you to our office, an authorization may be required. This will depend on the type of insurance plan you have. Our appointment clerks will contact your PCP if necessary.
If you have had any recent laboratory tests or radiology services relevant to your visit, let us know so we can request them prior to your first appointment.
Understanding insurance coverage can be intimidating and sometimes quite confusing, that is why our dedicated staff at SADDC sets itself apart by being your advocate with your insurance carrier. We ask that you please provide us with your insurance information at the time your appointment is scheduled. Prior to any of our services, we will notify you of the estimated out of pocket expenses you may have (copay or deductible). This will be due at the time of your appointment. If you have any questions about your coverage or estimated out of pocket expense, let us know so we can review and discuss this information with you prior to your services.
At the time of your appointment please bring and provide the following information:
- A picture ID
- Your current Insurance card
- A list of all your medications and dosage amount
- Copay/Out of pocket monies due at the time of the visit.

If you have previously been seen by one of the physicians, please provide the appointment scheduling staff with all updated information (i.e., change in address, phone number, Insurance company and/or employer, etc.) This information is pertinent so that we can maintain your patient account as current as possible and so that we can reach out to you to confirm your appointment or obtain any additional information that may be necessary.
Additionally, please let us know if you have had any recent laboratory tests or radiology services relevant to your visit, so that our clinical staff can obtain this information prior to your appointment.
